Substitute Training

As the COVID‐19 Pandemic runs its course, we at Brownsville I.S.D. are implementing measures that will safeguard its students, teachers and staff. As you may or may not know the first day of school this year will officially start on August 25, 2020. As such the district will be implementing Distance Learning for the first few weeks of this school year. Teachers have been training for Distance Learning and we will be offering training for the following instructional platforms.

1. Google Classroom
2. Seesaw
3. Schoology* (new recently approved platform but no training has been done at District level).

The Deadline to register will be on August 14th. Please register on the following website: Here

Training will be held August 17th and the training will take approximately two (2) hours. This training will be virtual and you will need to have internet and computer access. All trainings will be recorded.

For those of you who do not wish to participate in this Distance Learning Platform, you do not have to and will not be taken off of the Substitute List. Once we go back to “Live Instruction” we will activate your status as long as your Letter of Assurance and the yearly mandatory online training was completed.

Date of Training: August 17th, 2020
Deadline to Register: August 14, 2020
