BECHS Moves Up Significantly on U.S. News And World Report Ranking

This morning, U.S. News released what many consider to be the most holistic and comprehensive evaluation of U.S. public high schools. BISD is very proud to announce the progress made by Brownsville Early College High School as it moved higher in the rankings from #359 nationally last year to #201 this year, and from #59 at the state level to #33. Congratulations to the administration, staff, and students at BECHS. Rankings were based on a 4-step process that determined if students performed better than expected in their state, if disadvantaged students performed better than the state average, if student graduation rates met or exceeded a national standard, and if students are prepared for college-level coursework. https://www.usnews.com
