City Accepting Applications for Brownsville Youth Advisory Council

Interim City Manager Michael L. Lopez announced today, the Brownsville Youth Advisory Council is now accepting applications for the 2018-2019 year. Applications may be submitted starting Friday, June 15, through Sunday, July 15, 2018. The Brownsville Youth Advisory Council was established to engage the youth of Brownsville to identify, assist, and advocate for public interest projects.

Additionally, the Brownsville Youth Council will assist City staff the development of youth programs. “The City of Brownsville is proud to offer this opportunity to the youth in our community for the second consecutive year,” said Interim City Manager Michael L. Lopez. “Civic engagement is essential to the development of leadership skills. We look forward to working with students”.
