38th Annual Texas History Day BISD Awards
Congratulations to the 62 students who represented BISD at the 38th Annual Texas History Day co-hosted by the Bullock Texas State History Museum and The University of Texas at Austin on Saturday, April 28, 2018. Students Mandie SantibaƱez and Alvaro Perales Jr. from Lucio Middle School placed 1st in the Junior Division in the Group Exhibit category. Their project, titled “Indian Removal Act: A Compromise Gone Wrong,” will be representing BISD at the Kenneth E. Behring National History Contest at the University of Maryland, College Park, from June 10-14, 2018. Their sponsor is Mr. Juan Vega, 8th Grade US History teacher. Click here to view all BISD results.
